Rota

In the north of the Bay of Cádiz. This centuries-old town is nowadays lively and cosmopolitan. Surrounded by fertile farmland and vineyards. It is an attractive tourist resort and enjoys a good climate. Other attractions include the delicious fresh fish, beautiful beaches and good sports facilities. Rota also boasts a Yacht Club and Golf Course. Another feature is “La Ballena” tourist resort.

Chipiona

Popular holiday resort, lively and welcoming. Excellent vineyards which produce grapes for the famous “Moscatel” wine. Good beaches. Yacht Club. The “Ballena” Tourist Complex. Golf couses.

Sanlucar de Barrameda

Situated on the mouth of the Guadalquivir river next to the Parque Nacional Doñana, and on the “Wine Route”. It has traditionally held strong links with the Duques de Medina Sidonia. The satrting point for many great sailors; Columbus, Magellan or Juan Sebastian Elcano. Delicious fresh fish and seafood can be enjoyed in the typical ficherman’s quarter “Bajo de Guía”. Bodegas where the delectable “Manzanilla” wine is produced. In recreation, the town has good sports facilities, a yacht club and bullring. Fine beaches where horse racing is held in the month of August. Impressive monuments.

Trebujena

Situated near the province of Seville, in an area of marshland. It produces grapes and olives. It is also noted for bull rearing and small game hunting.

Jerez de la Frontera

The wine and equestrian capital and home to Flamenco singing. It is situated between the sea and the mountains and is of great historical wealth. It is an important commercial centre and its bodegas are famous world wide. Its many and varied tourist attractions include the Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre, the Clock Museum, Zoo and the Formula 1 Race Track. It also boasts good sports facilities, Olympic stadium, golf course, Equestrian Centres, Municipal Congress and Convention Centre, and Live Flamenco music. Its old quarter is declared a Protected Area of Historical/Artistic interest. Its Easter week has been recognised as being of national tourist interest, and its Horse Fair of international tourist interest.
